AMBER Alert: Teen abducted in Beckley believed to be in

An Amber Alert has been issued after a teenage girl was abducted Wednesday night from a Walgreens in Beckley.

Jaddah Lashay Rodgers, 16, was abducted from a Walgreens on Byrd Drive in Beckley at 6 p.m., according to a release from the West Virginia Office of Emergency Management.

Police believe she is in extreme danger.

Rodgers is a black female who stands 5-feet-4 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt and braided hair.

Authorities believe she was most likely abducted by Lawrence Asbury, 20. Asbury is described as a white male.

The release said they may be traveling in a 1995 two-door red Chevrolet Blazer with West Virginia license plates 522359. The vehicle was last seen heading west toward Virginia Street in Beckley.
